This probably should go under bra ups and downs as well as body issues.

I am so frustrated! I feel like I could spend thousands of dollars looking for the right bra fit and STILL not find it. When I recently ordered most of the bras I've put up here, I really really thought they were close to the right fit, and it turns out they're 4 or more cup sizes too small in some cases! Honestly, it seems like a reduction would be less expensive at this point. I cannot afford to keep doing this. I keep getting cup size recommendations far beyond what I'd thought my size could possibly be.

I feel more self-conscious about my boobs looking huge than ever before. Even when I lost a bit of weight earlier this year (it was due to oral surgery, I avoid dieting), my breast size did not shrink AT ALL. My mother complains about that being the first place she starts to lose weight when she loses any. I feel like mine keep growing, which... Perhaps I should have a mammogram, MRI, blood tests? Could it be a serious problem if mine are growing in my thirties? I don't feel a mass or anything, but I wonder if something hormonal could be causing this? I'm not pregnant and have never been. My sister got up to a C cup when she was pregnant last year -- when she complained about that causing pain, I sort of wanted to strangle her. I mean, not really, but you know.

The other thing, with my lupus... I have a bad kidney, and I may in fact have to diet in order to become eligible for a transplant. It's not something that makes me happy to think about, and I really hate the idea of dieting. I'd need to lose just about 10 pounds to get out of the "obese" category. But like... I can't figure out a way to exercise because my boobs hurt too much. I bought a 36H Berlei sports bra this year, and it is WAY too small in the cups. I bounce more in that bra that most any other that I own. I am so tired of hurting all the time. I wish I could just get a reduction down to a DDD or something and be done with it. That would solve a lot of this, and it would almost certainly take me out of the obese weight bracket so I wouldn't have to diet.

This just seems impossible! I'm beginning to doubt that bras are actually made in my size.

  • I know that Imogen from inside out style blog just got a breast reduction. Depending in where you're from health insurance might cover it.

  • Where I live now, it would probably not be covered. But I'm considering moving to Connecticut, where it probably would be. I'll check out her blog.
