Comexim Lovers - I have a question!

I got my first unlined Comexim today. I got the wrong size based on advice that they run small (and my previous experience with Comexim Basic, which I've been told also runs small), but the shape actually might work. (has yet to go through full day trials, and is technically a cup big and a sister size off)

When I tried the Basic, I determined the shape wasn't going to work even in the right size - the top of the cup curved inward, so it cut into my slightly tall, center heavy breasts (which also have lots of loose skin from weight loss-I'm extra jiggly), even in the proper size, which seemed to be 65K. I was also not in love with the short gore. I now expect that was possibly sizing up due to the shape issue now, but didn't know it then.

So, I ordered Comexim Emily in the same size, 65K, and realize 70HH would probably be perfect, maybe 70J (which is more consistent with Comexim's size charts). It's much more open up top, and I think in the right size might work very well in spite of the gore being lower than typically works for me. Oddly enough, the low gore - while not my favorite thing in the world - doesn't seem to be causing boob spill issues (yet).

My question is essentially this: are all of the padded comexim bras more closed off on top, like the Basic, or is Basic an exception? Because, I am not against sticking to the unlined Comexim bras if the padded styles are tight across the top, BUT if they're not, they might be worth giving another chance. (Especially Ingrid, in all it's delicious, vintage floral glory - which makes me drool with want every time I see it...and something in a neutral). It would certainly give me more options if they might potentially work. I definitely have some choices among the unlined Comexim bras worth trying, but the unlined options are only maybe 10% of Comexim's stock, and the wire width makes my boobs happy, which is so, so rare - to find narrow enough wires on cups my boobs (so far) don't appear to be falling or bulging out of.

I'm basically full all over (except near the arms - that's all just skin), so I need both lower depth and a relatively open upper cup. But since my tissue is extremely soft, coverage is also a concern, to keep everything in place.

Is anyone able to do a general shape comparison of the comexim basic to comexim's padded bras as a whole? Similar? Different?

  • I have 5 Comexim's now, but I think they're all based on the basic so they might not work for you. You can check my profile to see them- I have the Emmeline, Butterfly, 2 basics, and the Eris. May or may not be helpful-at the very least might tell you which definitely wouldn't work for you.

  • Thanks. They do all look to be the same shape. On comexim's website it's not quite clear if they're all the same basic shape or not (probably, but worth asking about anyway, to be certain).

The unlined comexim I'm test driving today is very open up top, which works very well for me, but basic cut my boobs in half. So I'm curious if that's essentially what I can expect from all the padded styles.

I know I can rule Ewa Michalak out because I've tried 6 different bras in at least 4 different cuts. I know Kris Line I'm only able to wear the half-padded bras. Comexim, I'm less confident.
