I'm hosting a bridal shower for a friend, and she asked that her sizes be included with the information for the party as she thought it would be fun to get lingerie. But I don't really think the size she gave me could really fit all that well-- the band size has got to be 8-10 inches bigger than her rib cage. She's never complained about ill-fitting bras so I don't want to be pushy and tell her she should try a different size, but I don't want to perpetuate poor sizing, either!
On a related note, I'm making progress in getting my mom to break the DD barrier. One step at a time...

Maybe you could incorporate a fitting into your gift to her. Say, take her to a fitter you trust. tell her if she tries on different items in different styles that will help you give advice to others who ask, well, what style of lingerie etc
I love that idea!
Oh, and I thought I was wearing pretty good fitting bras... until I found out I was not. Never knew it 'till I tried better fitting ones... so it may be she doesn't know!
