All wires are too wide – nothing ever fits

*warning – rant ahead*

The currently “best fitting” bras I own, Panache Melody Fullcup (6055) and Panache Floris Balconnet Bra (7311) have wires that end literally on my back. I kinda was not aware of how bad it is or maybe I was just ignoring it, since I don't have any other options, but I am so tired of it. I just want my boobs to shrink back to the size they were 2 years ago.
Weirdly I did not had such big issues with wire width then. I think when my boobs grew from 30JJ/ 32J to a 32K/KK they just got more projected and fuller on top but my root stayed the same. At 30JJ I considered my root to me “medium width” and a Panache Tangos and Arizas wires were quite okay for me but now at 32K wires are 2-3 cm too wide at least which causes a lot of other issues too. Panache bras are literally the only bras that come in my size and are supportive enough. Bras from other brands are just worse.

Panache is the best out of bad options. But my Panache Floris does not feel supportive. I have lots of empty fabric on the sides and on bottom and a bit of gaping on top. Also boobs jiggle more in it than they should. I'm so annoyed.

I just want some bra that fits, just one. If I find one, I buy 2-3 of them for everyday wear. I don't care what it looks like any more. It just has to fit, be supportive and comfortable. I don't know which bras I should try anymore. Actually I just want my boobs to shrink. I used to be very insecure about them all the time but gained some confidence over the last 2 years I was wearing properly fitted bras. I really try to be positive but... sometimes I can't.

  • I sympathize, alisa . I'm not in your size range, but have had the exact same problem with wires. Everything. Every single bra out of the UK is not just wide, but massively too wide. I've finally grudgingly accepted that Polish bras (and European bras in general) are just much MUCH better for my shape.

In my size range, Freya works fine (not in yours, but the flexible wires work for me because I've been bending them narrower, just never enough to get the right shape, the right depth.) I've been married to Freya for a while because they were the narrowest wires I could find, but at 5.5-5.8 inches in my size, that's still much, much to wide for my boobs, which are less than 5 inches across.

I finally own my first comexim - okay, my FIRST comexim was the basic which was too closed off on top for me, but I gave the brand another try for the unlined Emily, and I'm glad I did, because it's love. 5.3 inch wires, which makes it only about 1/4 inch or so wider than my ideal. Very, very wearable, and I can not recommend enough finally taking the plunge and trying the narrower Polish brands, because something like wire width makes such a huge difference in lift, shape and support. I'm pretty sure I'll never find the bra that's the perfect width, but I've finally found one that's a good width, and my boobs now want me to banish all of my UK bras and buy four or five more like the one I received earlier in the week.

I'm just saying, I have been in exactly the same mental place you are right now, and not very long ago. Buying the foreign brands is terrifying, but they fit a very narrow/projected shape so much better that it's very, very worth it. (I want to try all of the Polish brands now.)

  • I know Comexim didn't really work for you, so I say try Ewa Michalak again. I think you could find the S, SM, or BM very supportive if you found the proper size (the hard part!) If it works for CurvyWordy (who is close to your size), then I think it could work for you. FFFB has even been wearing EM bras like crazy lately.
