So this isn't about bras per se, it's about underwear. Since I don't usually buy matching sets, especially when it requires me to spend a ridiculous amount on one pair that matches merely one bra (what can I say, unlike my mom I do not have a drawer with 6 exactly the same bras in one color all the same size) I buy panties that look cute in various colors when I find them in my travels online. Lately I've been wanting to try styles that are not thong or bikini, with boy/girl shorts being a style that I can see myself wearing...except...it's really hard to find them without the front center seam. I could understand why a company that also wants to sell 'toe' shields they make would be selling boy/girl short style panties with front center seams, but really...does it not occur to their design department employees that this sort of thing is NOT comfortable and gives all women wearing pants the dreaded 'toe' that everyone who sees them is absolutely certain to notice because one of the strange characteristics of this phenomenon is the inability to not see it as well as it being difficult to look away from. Wearing a skirt is only a fraction of a solution because 1.) the seam will still ride up there and be uncomfortable and 2.) skirts are not always practical to wear. I need to arrange for a sit down with these people and bring in a powerpoint presentation.

  • I know SO and St. Eve brands make some seamless boyshorts. I don't know if they make them in cute patterns, but worth looking up. I know I've definitely seen them in black/white/tan, because I remember digging through the racks of them at Kohls going 'eff you, boyshorts, stop masquerading as hipsters until I pull you off the rack!'

I just did a quick look on kohls website, and it looks like St. Eve has some seamless boyshorts in stripes and dots and animal prints, if any of that tickles your fancy.

  • Yes, yes, yes! It is so frustrating. Especially for those of us who are more...full in the lower regions. No matter what size I am, I have a 'Kardashian' which combined with center seams, means front and back wedgie. Fantastic.I imagine the situation is the same for anyone without a short rise and Barbie-like pubic region (probably not a lot of people).

I'm convinced there's a panel of evil male underwear designers who invented front center seams, crotchless unders and that thong with the pearls you see at Fredericks.

    Yay for Kohl's though!
