So the wedding is set for January 17, 2015, a seamstress friend of my aunt's is making me an adaptation of a Regency style dress (slightly lowered empire waist, almost elbow length sleeves, 'skirt' less conical-like more flowy and curve-following, and instead of white will be a light cornflower blue). I chose the style because I'm only 5'1" and don't want a giant pile of skirt to lug around and make me look even shorter - especially since the two ladies who will be my bridesmaids are 5'5 and 5'10". I know that I want them in a navy blue, but I don't want to expect them to fork out a lot of money for a dress they are unlikely to wear more than once (ruling out having theirs custom like mine) so if anyone has suggestions on length and a modern store-stock version similar in style to mine I'd love to hear them.
Oh, and the ceremony is in the evening because I've always wanted something kind of like the wedding of Melanie Hamilton to Ashley Wilkes in "Gone With the Wind" and somehow a billion candles doesn't work for a morning/afternoon wedding.

I'm afraid I'm not very helpful since I don't have any suggestions, but congratulations on the wedding and the dress, which sounds absolutely perfect!
What price point are you hoping for? Also, do you want the bridesmaids to have sleeves, or is that flexible?
