Question number two - I'd love to hear some examples of how people have different bras that work in different ways in their wardrobe. I think I'm starting to see it a little - like something specific for low-cut tops ( 34GG - Elomi » Bijou Banded Moulded Bra (8720) for me) , something that doesnt show under light tops (i'm hoping a beige Fantasie Jana Side Support Bra (2831) will do that), something hubby likes more than others ( 32J - Panache » Envy Balconnet Bra (7285) for me). . .but around the house I'm still wearing my decent exposure cotton bras
I'd love to hear more from others

I definately have this too, and I think a lot of other women also have this.
I have a freya deco for really low cut tops (although my boobs aren't that fond of this bra) and masquerade Rhea for tops that are a little less low cut. I usually wear Cleo Marcie to work, but also most of my Change bras. To school I basically just ho with wathever I feel like, but then I only have 3h-days in school. At home I'd normally wear one of my Mimi Holliday comfort bras, because of the comfort. They also happen to be my boyfriend's favorites for the simple reason that they're see through (I guess).
A good t-shirt bra, like the elomi Caitlyn looks good under almost any shirt, good minimizing and perky bra to add some lightness and slim me down (some Bravissimo bras for me), good vavoom bra for lower cut, tighter tops when I don't want to be shy.... It's not really that I plan the bras, so much that you buy one, it is comfortable and fits well enough, and then you need to justify keeping it by having it serve a specific purpose. Well that's how it works for me at least.
