Oct 18, 2014 New properly fitted bras giving me back fat :/

I always wore a 38 D from Victorias secret but recently started having breast pain and realized they did not fit at all. After my first real bra fitting I learned that I'm actually a 36 G! I bought a @Wacoal vintage lacy underwire 36 G, Chantelle 36 G and @Curvy Kate starlet molded 36 G (but I'm pretty sure this one is too big) and have been religiously wearing my new bras hoping to reap the benefits of a better fitting bra. The breast pain is gone, but sometimes my new bras feel a little tight and leave red marks under the wire. Also I've been scooping and swooping but now I am noticing back fat and rolls where I never had any before. Also the fat behind/to the side of my breasts (under my armpits) is tingling and sore when I take off my bra at night. My back and sides looked smooth before but now there are obvious rolls! Is the band on my new bras too tight? Or is this just normal tissue migration that will smooth out in time? I don't want to keep wearing them if they are going to make me lumpy and roll!!

  • Chantelle's 36G is actually not a UK G :) It's a couple sizes smaller. Since you say the Starlet is a little too big, I'd actually look for 36FF sizes. But, excessive armpit fat is often the sign of a too small cup with a shape incompatibility (such as the wires being too narrow). Maybe post a fit check?

  • Hmm I will try for another fitting. I think the cups are the right size since the wire goes all the way around the breast tissue and the gore is tacking and there is no armpit fat spillage or poking. It's mostly just my back! I feel like some of the bras dig in on the side where the boning is which is why I'm wondering if I need a bigger band.
