I don't really have a single fitting bra, and Empreinte is a car payment.

Are there any bras with Empriente-level immediate projection and narrow cups that cost LESS than a car payment? I'm getting kind of sad as I realize more and more that nowhere does the English-speaking world manufacture any kind of bra that will fit me. And the Polish bras are...kind of a crap shoot if I'm spending $75 or less. I'm just tired of being uncomfortable. This Jasmine is... Eh. I had to rearrange it all day. The straps are too wide-set. It's just not ideal and won't work as an everyday bra.

It's just kind of dawned on me this week. Trying all these styles in Panache is a waste of my time and money. And Cury Kate and... And... Well, everything. They are all made for shallow, wide boobs. So whether or not something is decent for full on bottom shapes...probably doesn't matter much.

This is disappointing. I kind of wish I hadn't bought into this bra-fitting world myth that anyone can find the right bra. I don't think that's true. If I were JUST full on bottom, that would be one thing. But I'm also narrow with far apart splayed soft boobs that have been soft my entire life... There are three inches between my boobs. THREE. And apparently one means you're wide-set? And at least a cup size difference between them -- I think it's more like 2 cups. There's just nothing for this other than an unseamed spacer bra that won't provide any lift. Or giant molded perfect spherical orbs. The body acceptance stuff is all nice, but the idea that there's a great bra out there for everyone should die because it's not true. I mean, MAYBE if you're able to spend a small fortune and find your own personal designer, it's true. But beyond that...

I think the main differences within a brand like Panache have to do with full on bottom vs. full on top-friendliness. Other than that, they're all about the same -- shallow and wide with slight variations. I found the Jasmine, which I was told would be so great for me, to be shallow, wide and painful after wearing it for a full day. This has all just been a huge waste of my time and money.

At this point, reduction surgery is beginning to seem like the cheapest option left.

  • I was just feeling that ALL bras were made for FOB boobs that are wide set and being kinda meh about it myself. I'm also really short so some days I just feel like putting on a potato sack and being done with it all!

I'm sorry you're having a hard time. It really can be rough.I have no words of wisdom. Maybe we need to take our pitchforks and torches and raid the bra company offices? :D

  • As far as difference in cup size between breasts, I have a friend in the same situation. She uses inserts in the smaller cup, or, in cases of soft cups, manually stitches the cup smaller.
I feel you on the shallow/wide front- I have narrow, projected breasts, giving me measurements for cups that are always empty on the sides. Unlike you, mine are close together, and anything with more than .5 inches between cups digs in there.
My ribs are so small, reduction surgery would render me to not need a bra, but if I were to wear one, I'd still be looking for 28s. And ALL straps/wings are so wide they dig into my armpits, no matter the band size!

If you know how to sew, one option is learning to make your own. Personally, I haven't got the time, but if I did...
But yea, I think if we quit paying our hard-earned money for these bras that never fit right, maybe they'll come up with something to supply our demands!
