PL Carmen

A few days ago I received my first Ewa Michalak bra the PL Carmen in 34JJ. I bought it used from another bratabase user *winks to XLHourglass*
Since I’ve heard so much good about Ewas bras, I wanted to try them myself.

I posted a fit request here : http://www.bratabase.com/troubleshoot/dhr6l/

The band was too big, the straps too seperated, the gore nowhere near the sternum. Also it felt not supportive, gave me the dreaded east west look and I felt like my boobs would fall out of the bra if I move around or bend down.

So I did some alternations.
I did cut off 1.5 cms of the band, then move the straps closer to the center on the front.

Here a few pictures of me in the altered PL Carmen:

Now it does look better on me than before but it still does not fit like it should.

There is still not enough support, the center gore does not want to lie flat, there is still some gaping on top of the cups towards the shoulder straps (though it got a bit better and I feel a bit more “secure” than in the unaltered version)

I’m a bit frustrated as I had great expectations on this. It seems I do not get along with Plunge bras at all.
On the contrary I do get some cleavage in this bra it’s almost too much. :D

  • Oh but it's much better! It does seem like the fit is a bit off and the wires seem too wide, but it's very wearable. Give it a few days, Going from unpadded to oadded needs some getting used to ;)

  • I have just put it on again and did close it on the tightest set of hooks and... now the gore lies almost flat. Now I couldn't have cut off more of the fabric because there is not much stretch left.
