I think I'm going to only either buy bra styles/brands I know fit online or only shop in brick and mortar stores. I can't seem to rely on measurements or bra fit calculators either. My latest mistake is a Freya Marvel Side Panel Bra (1501) in a 38F and my boobs were swimming in it and it's the first time ever I've had gaping close to the gore. EVERY calculator puts me in an F and with the exception of a painful Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) they have been so off. Guess I'm just sticking to my old stand bys. Phooey!!!

  • I know that because of my short heighted roots calculators overestimate on me (imagine in exaggeration the leaning measure of 2 cantelopes and 2 pancakes could be the same but the volume would be very different). And I hear that wide set boobs can also overestimate, as can those of us who are in bigger bands (<36). Measurements give a good starting point but are not the end-all. Sometimes if u find free returns (amazon etc) it is nice to order in a few sizes and narrow it down that way. You might try 38F, 38E, freya sometimes runs stretchy so a 36F or FF might be helpful to try (remember if u go down a bandsize to go up a cupsize and vice versa). Sometimes if you can narrow down fit issues (I personally need a lot of bottom projection but I don't need veryuch room on top), that can help you find a good match. I know that nordstroms, macys, and Dillard's will probably have bras in your range. ( but sizing in US is different. You need to look at around G in US, as I think in most brands we go D-DD-DDD-G. Brands vary here also though so it helps to see how thru are sized and count up 3 sizes from D.

  • I think the short root thing is my issue too! I was reading on ABTF and there was an article about this issue causing bra calculators to be off at least by the cup size. I also read on there or on Butterfly Collection that this may be the very reason that @Elomi and @Fantasie have usually been good brands for me.My breasts are kind of wide at the top but my root does not seem to be that wide actually and that puzzled me because I thought Elomi was best for wide roots. I also believe I have short breasts
