So, I was reading some stuff that essentially was that small lingerie designers/retailers are struggling so much while the big companies make their profits with their assumption that nearly everyone will wear a 32/4 B in their lifetime so matrix sizes are less of a risk to stay with producing. Oh, and instead of complaining about the fact that non-matrix size bras are so expensive, we should be buying them full price instead of waiting for sales because that's why companies assume those sizes are too risky - thus why they end up on clearance. While I get the thought process that is involved in coming to such conclusions, I don't have to like it. Frankly, if they spent half the time on developing new design patterns as they do rationalizing why this retail niche is the way it is along with coming up with non-solutions, we'd all be seeing a sudden increase in new designs in non-matrix sizes.

What bothered me most was the part where mass production leads to cheaper prices for everyone but those who don't wear the standard matrix sizes. So we're supposed to be used to paying higher costs, and keep on paying those higher costs just to get the attention of companies who make even the most minor of attempts in adding a couple of designs in 'unusual' sizes. That is so not helpful.

  • what is the "some stuff"?

  • My tumblr feed had 2014's most popular posts from The Lingerie Addict the other day - not all of the 'stuff' was specifically from the blog articles but the comment section with them...I'm not taking offense to the content in original posts, everyone is entitled to their opinions.
