Feb 05, 2013 My real bra size.

I've been wearing Amoena silicone breastforms with my bras for years. I wore size#7 for a while (38C bras usually) but went up to size #8 a year and a half ago. Now 40D bras seem to contain and support my forms holding them securely to my chest.
But, something I've never had is a bra that fits my true chest/breasts with no padding or forms or falsies ect. From what I've heard, large band bras with small cup size bras are scairse and hard to find. But they do exist if you know where to look.
So I figure I need my real measurements with-out breast forms. Here's what I got.
underbust in inches= 40 and one eighth of an inch. ( I measured around my ribcage, right under my pectoral mustles. Where my bra band would lay.)
around the fullest part of my bust= 42 and seven eighths of an inch. ( I measured around my back and across my nipples) On both measurements I made sure the tape was snug but not too tight. And the tape was horizontal to the floor. I took my time and re-measured a few times. Looking at myself in a full lenghth
mirror the whole time.
So if I rounded off to the nearest whole numbers I would be 40" underbust. 43" bust measurement. With a diffrence of 3" I would be considered a 40C bra size.
Now I know if I put on a 40C bra on my naked male chest there is no way I could fill the cups. I'm pretty sure a 40A's cups would still be a little roomy on me.
What I would like to find is a 40 band, maybe 38 band size A or AA , full-coverage underwire non-contour bra that's cups snugly contain my pecs/ man-boobs supporting them just like I was a small breasted woman.
Does this sound like I'm going about this right?

  • I think the 3" inch difference is more spread out across the chest - being muscle, ribcage and such, as opposed to a biological female where the breasts are more defined. So I understand the issue. So even if the measurements give a 40C, what would be in the cup is spread out across the entire upper chest area? Hope I'm getting my point across.
I would say you have better luck with a non-wired bra, as the pecs are generally wider than small female breasts. I think it also depends on how soft/fluffy vs firm you are? And your overall fitness and age, I'd say.
But I do understand that you'd like a bra you could wear without the breast forms.
Actually in bigger supermarkets here, where they also sell clothes, they often sell bras from a size 36-42 in A-B-C. (I don't know many women in these sizes though, and seeing those sizes tends to frustrate me, but maybe you can benefit from it).
I don't know much though since I'm a 30H or 32GG, so I haven't got much experience with bigger bands with smaller cups.

  • I really hope you can find something though!
And welcome to bratabase :) I went back and read your other bra adventures. I don't want to be rude, but I'm curious as to whether you cross dress or if you're transgender (which to me is a medical condition that I meet in my daily life). But I really don't expect you to tell me more about this here, as I understand that it's a quite personal issue :)
