First successful visit to Nordstrom and Intimacy/found perfect bras for "tall" boobs/migration or fluctuations ?
I've been looking on ebay lately for a 30e Chantelle Chic bra. I tried it on at my first visit to Nordstrom, and since I was wearing a 32D, the girl told me to stick with that and said the 32D looked fine.
It did not lol. It cut into my breast tissue, but I loved the bra.
So I did find my size on ebay, fairly cheap. Before buying I decided to head back to Nordstrom and specifically ask for a 30E.
I asked, and the woman there gave me all 6 30E Chantelle bras they had. First though, she wanted to fit me. She measured me in my new Freya, which I purposely wore because no one ever wants to give me a 30 band xD
She wanted to try a 30DD first(my boobs look reeeaally small) and my boobs ended up spilling out of the bra. It was actually incredibly embarrassing and I didn't want her to see it but I knew that I should to get another size. So she tried the 30DDD and then we were both confused because, same deal, it gave me major quadboob. Not just a little bit, it was pretty terrible looking. She invites another employee in to see why it didn't fit.
I did end up researching on here, and that style seems to run small. I wish I'd asked for the next size up, but I was too embarrassed.
I ended up trying 3 more Chantelles in 30DDD and one Natori Feathers. The Natori was the best shape for me, and I seriously can't wait to get my hands on one!
I'm realizing that my tissue starts high up, but slopes down and then juts out again. I *think* they're slightly shallow, as previously stated, but I'm still awfully confused. I also have no clue whether I'm FoT or FoB or equal, but I have discovered that sling shapes work very well; they smooth out ths slope, and cover my breast tissue that's higher up.
Unlined demis are not working. Lined demis and balconettes give me slight spillage also(except most VS for some reason).
Another shape that works perfectly, whatever the shape is(unlined) that has a diagonal T-ish shaped seam on the cups. I can't do round padded bras, and these unlined ones seem like they'd be for rounded shapes, but they fit perfectly and give a nice shape.
I've hated my boobs for as long as I can remember because they've always looked "old" to me. I'm happy to finally learn about how I can deal with them and how I can make them look pretty for most of the day though, so excuse me as I'm quickly becoming a bit obsessed with finding the *perfect* bra.
Here are the brands/styles I've found that worked (unfortunately 2 are pretty unrealistically pricey):
Fantasie fl2402 30E(example of the shape I spoke of)
Freya Eden 30E(unlined)
Freya Starlet plunge balcony bra 30e
Wacoal 65115 32DD (the sling type-seemed to fit well, don't think it runs in smaller bands)
Empriente 08122 30E (good example of the shape that appears to be for round shapes)
Empriente 08108 30E
Freya siren 30E (probably my favorite shape-wise)
A visit to Nordstrom rack helped me find these perfect fits:
Freya Deco Charm 30E
Chantelle Chic Sexy Pushup 30E(seemed to run semi small but shape was perfect)
Chantelle Superb 30E
Lasty, I have a question if anyone can answer.
I've just started wearing a smaller band and using the scoop/swoop method.
I haven't lost or gained any weight, and I was initially 31.5 inches underbust and 36-36.5 standing (37-38 leaning). I usually wait to measure until morning.
My underbust measurement has quickly gone down to an exact 30, and overbust has been a 37 standing.
I've re-measured in the mirror a few times because I'm a little confused how this happened. I'm not near my period. So can migration really happen? And so quickly? I'm a little confused how that's supposed to work. Also, if this really happens quickly, should I really be stocking up on my new size or just buy a few?
Perhaps something else is taking place here, but I wanted to ask and see if anyone had more information before I blow all my money lol
Other than that, I was happy that my visit went well today! The woman who helped me was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable AND gave me the correct band size instead of assuming that just because I look small busted that I don't need support =/ Same deal at Intimacy. No one questioned my size, overall helpful.
Finally!!

i measured almost the same as you when i first started wearing my correct size, a 32D (31.5 underbust, 36 overbust while leaning forward), then almost a year later i measured again because some of my old bras started to fit weird, and i go smaller in the back and larger in the front, so now i'm starting to wear more 32DD's and have the hook on the second setting.
i'm FOT/even.
sounds like u might be even/FOB???
and yay, for getting what you wanted :)
When your boobs start growing, they take up a little more room on your torso and your underbust crease (where you'll be placing your measuring tape to measure around your ribcage) may now be a little lower, where you're smaller around.
You COULD also be altering the shape of your ribcage if you were going absolutely nuts with tight bras or corsets, but it doesn't sound like that is the case!
