My wallet is bleeding. Between Spring sales and being hormonal and fed up with my bra situation, I have ordered five bras this week. I am hoping to not have to return at least one of them. Here they are:

Freya Totally Tartan Plunge Balcony Bra (1421) 28D
Justification: Super cute, inexpensive on Amazon, and I want to find out if this line of Freyas will work for me. My actual expectation is that it will be too deep in the cup for me to fill out.

Cleo Lily Balconnet Bra (7351) 30C
Justification: I found, like, the ONLY 30C in existence on Amazon. I am convinced that the 30D Cleos would be too deep in the cups for me (without having tried one so who knows). The bird print and bright straps killed me dead. I love a lot of things about the Cleo bras I already have except they are too small, so going up a cup size seems like a reasonable thing to do. I really want this one to fit.

Midnight Grace Paige Italian Lace Half Cup Bra (123100) 30D
Justification: cheap and purple.

Panache Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675) 28D
Justification: someone who looks like maybe my boob twin seems to like it, and the bright blue color was on sale on Amazon.

Curvy Kate Gia Balcony Bra (CK2101) 28D
Justification: the Boysenberry color was on sale on Amazon, so pretty and shiny. I expect the cups to be too deep so yay returns??

I am a little sad that my "recommended" bras on here are all padded/foam lined. I despise padding and foam for my everyday bras. I prefer fun colors and soft textures and I am a hippie who doesn't care if I get high beams (I wear an apron at work anyway).

My comfortable ribcage measurement is about 27.5" and my horizontal breast perimeter is about 7". I don't have a good idea of my shape but I think shallow/not projected a lot is probably accurate. If you know of a great bra please chime in!

  • Good luck! I too have been on a buying spree! I just bought 3 bras and have bids on 4 on ebay!

  • I think these are really good choices for someone trying to find their perfect size. Trying on all of these in the sizes you selected is going to give you lots of great information and I'd bet at least a couple of them fit great. Lily is one of my favorites and I love Andorra as well. Good luck!
