So apparently my bra size finding algorithm is flawed.
Step 1: Measure bra band size
Step 2: Down convert old bra cups to new bra band size after weight loss
Step 3: Go to the nearest store that sells bras in band size 30 to try on bras and confirm size
Step 4: Order bras from Amazon from a variety of brands.
Step 5: Lament failure of algorithm and return bras.
The most confusing part is that my measurements through the abrathatfits calculator are 30E.....and all but two of the 30DDs that I bought were 1-2 cup sizes too big.
I also only have one recommendation on this site: the Natori feathers plunge 30DDD
Maybe I just can't have unlined bras.

Are you muscular? Muscles throw off the overbust measurements, sometimes by several cup sizes. I'm a powerlifter and calculators put me in 28/30Gs, but I could never fill that out. I wear 28/30DD/Es.
It works better for me to use my perimeter and the cup depths. Find the bra you are thinking of buying and read reviews around your size and look for cup depths in the size you think you need. It should be the same cup depth as other bras that fit you (tho fuller coverage bras will generally have higher depth measurement than the same cup size in a plunge or half-cup, because the plunges and half-cups cover less boob)
