Sternums, Gores, low-riding wires, and cup-bottom space
I have made a discovery that may help some of you for whom space at the bottom of cups or wires moving below your inframammary fold is the bane of your existence. Prepare to be amazed. I have slight pectus excavatum (sternum that protrudes). This little bony point near the top of my sternum affects bra fit outside of just the gore. My sternum points out at the top and makes a hollow right in between my breasts. That means that if the gore runs high enough, my bra wires can be forced down below my IMF by the point and slope shape of my sternum literally pushing the gore down a hill. Really high gores are good (like my Cleo Lily) because they sit above the point in my sternum and don't dig into it. Really low gores like on my Freya Deco and CK Gia are good, too, because they just sit in the hollow and don't hit the point. However, gores with middling heights always ride low!
