Large cup size but *shallow*. Is it really that uncommon?
I plan on posting a fit check with one of my problem bras (my 34FF Fauve), so this is just a general question right now.
I've read on a lot of bra sites that large cups (like F-whatever the end is) require more and more projection to fit correctly. I've never actually seen a bra blog/post of a large cupsize that is shallow... that has problems with gaping near the gore and just feeling like no matter how much you size down, your boobs don't feel lifted. I've only ever seen posts on shallow breasts with sizes like 28D, 30E, etc. It seems to only be addressed with smaller sizes.
I'm having this problem over and over it seems, as I'm trying to restock my bra-drobe with my new size (34G). I've tried a 75G - Ewa Michalak » Chp Marcepan (514) and the fit was barely there, but I just felt like I wasn't filling it correctly. There was no gaping at the top, but it just felt generally like it was doing nothing for my boobs. And I've had the same problem with my 34FF - Fauve » Dominique Padded Half Cup Bra (0301) .
Yet, my lined Curvy Kates fit amazing, especially my 32G - Curvy Kate » Thrill Me Padded Bra (SG3001) , which is one of the shallowest bras ever. And the shape of shallower Parfait by Affinitas bras: Charlotte, Tamara, etc all have worked well for me also.
If you were to look at my bare breasts, you'd probably think they were even and average projected. I look at them and think they are average projected and on the perky side. Yet, when it comes to bras in higher and higher up in volume, the more projection problems I run into. And I would definitely say my projection has stayed proportional to my size as it's gotten larger over the past year (DD to G).
I'm also wide, *very* wide rooted. Maybe that is what is keeping my breasts less projected?
I guess my question is, is it possible or at all common for a large sized cup to still be considered shallow? Do any of you have large cupsizes but are shallow? Does anyone have more brand suggestions that are available in G+?

yay Breast sister :) I'm shallow and wide root and high set and I'm 28HH/J. plus I'm hourglass shape like you ;)
I read this shallow breast is common in smaller breast but Its not that hard to find one in larger breast as well :) here is the thing. your breast looks way smaller than what you wearing lots of people , including bra expert, are confused with size guess. for me I've never heard that of you are H right? most people think I'm E or F. and some of my ex told me you don't need to wear bra. because it is also common in shallow breast's breast tissue are spread all over the chest area comepare with other shape so in this shape it's hard to see someone saggy or doughy
half cup is your best friend of all time, I mean mostly.
molded bra gives you better shape more than laced bra.
CK will be your best friend especially old version so If you want your new bra, better find something in ebay or amazon.
some panache works. so far all masquerade panache worked. I think masquerade panache half cup bras are shallow freiendly. cleo and general panache has 50% of chance to work so choose it well.
because some panache bras gives best shape to shallow breast but some is just perfect for projective breast like Isobel bikini. for instence, in measuremeant it was perfect for me but once I wore it I could tell that it just perfect but the shape was just wrong for me.
andorra is best for shallow. juna bra too.
tutti is also shallow friendly but their sizing is bit weird so you better sizing up cup and band both.
lace full cup bra generally works and for plunge I usually go one cup size up and If I want extra cleavage I wear comexim or just my usual size of bra that I didn't size up
for shallow breast usual design of comexim won't work.
you d'better ask custom
when I was young(30G), freya longline was beast. fauve, bestform ,bendon, evollove, fayreform, pleasurestate worked. most of them were half cup obviously but pleasurestate plunge in 30G was best nude and plunge daily bra that I ever had in my entire life.
oh and brasnthings! their lace bra really never worked on me it seems more like FOT and more projective breast than general. lof of their molded bra gave great shape like their picture to me without any il-fitting.

well I guess I wrote all that I know hope this help your curiosity
It's not a rarity, especially in your size range--FF/G is really not a huge cup size! In fact, the whole reason there are so many blog and forum posts about finding narrow, deep cups it is that FF/G folks with medium or less than average depth boobs have more options, and therefore they aren't usually the ones posting miserably about how they can find nothing to wear!
It sounds like you have a couple of readily accessible, moderately priced brands that fit you perfectly, so I'd say you are doing well fitting yourself already, but if you are hankering for pretty Polish bras, there are other Polish brands that do wider and shallower cups (usually they do a variety of cup shapes so just make sure you're selecting the ones most appropriate for your shape). Samanta and Avocado spring to mind, but I know there are others.
