Mom's braventure, part 2

Ok, so both her Elomi's arrived in 36F and she sent me pictures, which I won't post out of respect for her privacy. She filled out the Etta cups better, but the gore didn't quite tack. The Caitlyn tacked fabulously, but the cups were quite wrinkled on top - now my mom is very pendulous and FOB, but they were wrinkled enough to make me think they were too big. Also, she said she could close both bands on the tightest hook straight away. Said she loved the separation and feeling of support, but they weren't perfect enough to keep.

So she's returning both of them, and trying the Caitlyn in a 34F. I told her if that's too small, to try it in a 34FF since that's the sister to her 36F but again, we both thought that was a bit big. Here's my main concern - in the pictures she sent, I couldn't tell if her wires were all the way in her IMF. If they weren't, they looked close, and I reminded her twice to make sure they were, and she said she wiggled the Etta's up a bit farther. I noticed this when we went shopping in Chicago - it's damn near impossible for her to get any wire into her IMF. I donno how to explain it, but she is soooooooooo pendulous with sooooooo much fullness hanging straight down and nothing on top, like I don't know what to tell her. She can only bend over so far (hip problems) and I doubt she's ever had a bra, at least in the last decade, that sat in her IMF. What do we do next, if Elomi Caitlyn ends up not working out? I've been her fountain of knowledge thus far, but I'm really out of ideas at this point. Any other recommendations for bras that work with extreme projection?

  • For me, the gore doesn't 100% tack on Etta because it's rather wide, and I've got close-set breasts.

Sounds like she's short-rooted and a lot of bras just have really tall sides. I have a hard time getting bras completely in my IMF because I have very short breasts and doing so means wires in my armpits. It's one of those things where I'm willing to sacrifice a small amount of support in favor of not having my underarms scratched bloody by the damn wires and sides.

Also, as Caitlyn is a very full coverage bra, there'll likely be some loose fabric at the top no matter what. I have that in almost all of my bras.

Hmmm. I don't know if Jasmine will work - it's similar to Envy, but with the higher apex it wants upper fullness and since your mom is lacking in that, it probably won't quite cooperate with her breasts. Elomi Rita, perhaps (I can't remember if she tried that)? Maybe some Fantasie bras? Cleo Lucy, if she doesn't mind the sheerness of it?

  • Yeah she just needs something deeper. Sounds like she has wide or at least average width, projected boobs with short (as opposed to tall) roots, which is very common in bustier women from middle age onwards or after babies (I am getting there myself though not very wide roots). I'd suggest calculating the best cup width, measuring her single boob perimeter and doing a search by measurements!
