Cleo's response

I emailed Cleo to let them know I was distraught about Marcie being dropped in my size. This was the response:

"Thank you for your e-mail.
Yes unfortunately the 28D back sizes aren’t very high in demand so unfortunately we only make it in a few styles.
For the next season (AW15) we will be making the below in a 28D:
- Mimi in Orange Animal, which is the same fit as Maddie – Available 20th of July
- Breeze in Floral Multi – Available 17th August
- Maddie (Black/ nude/ seasonal colour) -
- Neve (Black/ nude)
- Juna (black/ ivory/ nude)
- Lucy (black/ white)
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you need any further information."

Maddie and Juna are both too shallow for me so Mimi is a guaranteed no. I don't know about Breeze but "floral multi" sounds hideous. Lucy was an okay fit but not anywhere near as good as Marcie. I have yet to try Neve. Aaaaaaand that's the end of the list. That's it.

...Well if anyone wants more Maddie, there's an "orange animal" version now. Since apparently there aren't enough obnoxiously patterned shallow bras in this size /s -.-

  • Its weird, I think Marcie is their most popular style? But maybe primarily because it DOES appeal to people outside of their very young target audience?

  • If Maddie and Juna are too shallow, Neve/Koko will be worse. That's like, trying to wear a piece of plywood (from my experience).

So disappointed in Cleo for this. It's not my size range, but it's still very unfair. There are far more small band/small bust people than Cleo realizes. Unfortunately many small band/bust women don't know their correct size and are unaware these sizes exist, and are much more unlikely to demand a bra that fits than larger busted women, simply because (I'm assuming or I imagine) a terribly fitting bra on smaller boobs isn't as obvious or poses less of a problem than on small band/large cup sizes.
