(In)Decision Loop is Making Me Crazy
So as the much-anticipated end of vacation nears for Comexim, I still have not made up my mind...I know I want the Papillon (it has butterflies all over it!!) but do I want the half cup or the plunge? Or do I want to custom-order the plunge with a raised gore & reduced cups to turn it into a balcony?? I've read all the info here and am still undecided. My Comexim plunges fit well enough but seem to push the girls outwards and gap at the center a bit, so I kind of want to experiment with a custom balcony...but I dearly love my Fauve half-cups for the look...I'm stuck in a decision loop! HELP! I'd welcome input on the size/fit difference between a Comexim plunge & half cup. Or whether the customizing delivers a true balcony shape? Or just want to make up my mind for me?! FYI: narrow, possibly tall, projected, close set, even 2/5 shading to outer fullness.

The Comexim half cups are definitely more shallow than the plunges! I also know that the raised gore alteration makes for slightly deeper cups! Other than that i am not much help, i am the WORST at being decisive! ;)
I think the padded half cups are shallower, but I have an unlined Coco half cup that I think is just as projected as the padded plunges, and is actually minimizing. I'm in the same boat as you though, as far as making up my mind goes. I actually have an email out to Anna right now for sizing help and asking about how the fits compare between Poison Ivy and Free Time. I'm dead set on the Poison Ivy, but I want to order 2 bras and my thought process went something like this: "Brigitte. For sure. I've loved that bra for months. Wait... no... Snow is so beautiful!! But, it's white. So what? I'll wash it every time I wear it. Who am I kidding, no I won't. Ok. Brigitte it is. Oh, hold up, there's the Eris. That's a gorgeous red. What is that all over the cups.... apples? Cherries would make more sense. Ok then, Brigitte. No, Snow. It's just too pretty. No, hang on... Free Time! It's plaid! I loved my Totally Tartan plaid and really wish that bra worked for me!! I think I'll go with Free Time! But damn, I still really want a Brigitte. Poop. I need to save some more money. Maybe once I get these two I'll sell my Mint Sorbet to help fund it, that thing never has fit me right anyways."
Anyways - if I were you, I'd try to lower the cups/raise the gore and make it more of a balcony style, because I think you'll retain the immediate projection you need.
