The Cleo Zia...

I really want a Zia Balconnet because I love the pattern! But I'm unsure about what size to get. My "default" size right now seems to be 30G, but I got a Meg Balconnet in 28GG and the band fits great -- unlike with most 30 bands which technically fit but more and more I'm using the tightest hooks almost right away. At first I thought I should get the Zia in 28GG, but I checked the bratabase measurements and wow it seems pretty small for a 28 -- however there's only one measurement in 28GG. Also, it says the Zia's band has a normal stretch.

A review I read on Nordstrom's site from a user said that it was tight -- compared to Freyas of the same size. But I know from experience that Freyas seem to run loose. I know to be on the safe side I should just get a 30G. But I don't want to get yet another bra that I have to use the tightest hooks right away.

Does anyone have any experience with the Zia? Is it really as small as the bratabase measurements say?

Argh, band inconsistencies, why? :/

  • i have a 30H Zia (black and yellow) and it is TIGHT - it is the same tightness / stretch as my 28HH Melissa Cleo and I must wear an extender with both of these otherwise they hurt like crazy!

i also have the Meg 30GG, and the back is LOOSE! I have to use the tightest hooks for comfort

If i were you , i would go for the 30 band, unless you are happy to wear and extender. For me, i prefer the extender because it means the wire are more narrow, and this is better for my breasts :)

  • cbear, I ended up going for the 30 band! According to one chart I saw, the Zia is much tighter than the Meg, so I decided not to take that risk :)
