I was trying out bras at Dillards yesterday. For those of you not in the U.S., Dillards is a very large department store that is in most of the large malls all over the country. The lady in the next dressing room was getting fitted for a bra and I was curious how well the fitter would do, so I listened in.
At first I was very impressed. She instructed the lady how to put on the bra and even had her bend over and do the swoop and scoop to make sure everything was in the cup. Then she went through all the check points of making sure that the bra fit and explained why each one was important. The lady was very happy with the fit and the bra right up until the point that the fitter told her what size she was. She was horrified to find out that she was an H cup.
The fitter hastily assured her that this was just a diagnostic bra and went out to get her something else. I could hear the lady in the next dressing room muttering to herself "I'm an H cup! How can I be an H cup!" The fitter brought her back a minimizer bra in several cup sizes down and the lady bought that one. I wanted to bang my head against a wall.
