Is your bra band too tight?

Finally, this post is done and posted. I know we promised to touch on ride ups and other problems associated with bra bands being too tight but the post started to get a bit long.

We continue with this topic in our next posts. And this one is harder to understand, for people that do understand and have suggestions how we can clarify what we want to say. PM us PLEASE!!!

And again, KEEP AN OPEN MIND when trying to understand this.

  • I'm not sure tissue indentation has anything to do with band tightness. Just the fact that the band is there, no matter the tightness, will cause indentation. At least in my case.

I spent at least the past 12 years in wire-free bras that stretched to 50+ inches. When I finally got around to measuring, I found out my underbust was only 36 inches. And yet my underbust has a very clear indentation where the band goes. In fact, my underbust is a good two inches smaller than any other measurement of my torso. Clearly since I was wearing bands that stretched about 25 inches wider than my torso, this was not from bands too tight. It's simply from wearing a bra in the first place.

  • That is why we have stated that tissue indentation is one of the signs to look for. It MIGHT be because your bra straps are too tight, not an end all sign to look for.

It is really a case by case basis, I can't imagine in my mind how your bodyshape looks without seeing any pictures to give any comments or opinions. If you would like you can PM me for further discussion on your specific bodyshape.

The main message is not indentation, the main message is to consider all variables before determining if the band is too small or not.
