Shock Absorber help!

Hi! Some of you might know about my bad luck finding sports bras that suit me (I've had fit requests up for the Panache sports bra in 28E and 28FF, the 28F didn't fit me either so I didn't bother putting it up here. I also had a fit request up for the Freya Active underwired in 28DD) and I desperately need help because I find myself avoiding to do what I love to do so much: exercise. I got the advice to try on compression bras instead from several girls on here, and I've decided to try out the Shock Absorber Active Multi Sports. Now the question is; what size?! Aaahh! I'm having such a hard time deciding what size to get because here's what I've experienced so far: Bras haven't fit me right at all because when the wire width is right, the cup depth isn't. I've always needed wires waaay narrower than what I've found, so I haven't been able to assess what kinda size I need. All I know about what kinda size I need, is that I have yet to find a 28" band that fits me correctly on the loosest hook right away. That leads me to believe that I actually need 26" bands. That wouldn't be the case if manufacturers got it right *sigh*, because my ribcage measures 27.5 inches. They're basically never true to size. I've heard the Active Multi Sports runs very tight, so I'm guessing the band size I should order should be 28". 50% figured out. I need you girls to help me out with the remaining 50% ! x) Please help me! <3

  • prettyNpetite , I had a shock absorber when I was doing triathlons, and I felt I bounced more than I liked. I don't think I had it sized correctly, though. Not much help on that front, but I really like my Enell bras. When they say no bouncing EVER they mean it.

  • Incorrectly sized bras will hardly ever support you properly, so I'm gonna look past that comment :P I've had my eyes on the Enell too, but unfortunately it's too expensive for me at this point (39 American dollars plus 23.95 American dollars on top of that, I'm a poor 18yo student). 73.95 dollars is quite a lot for me, it translates to approximately 475 Swedish kronors, where's as I get 1050 Swedish kronors a month. I could save up for it, but I'm in desperate need of a sports bra now, and I could afford the Shock Absorber if I bought it off of Ebay :)
