Mar 11, 2013 -- Swimsuits, the bane of my existence ...
I need a new swimsuit, because my old one -- the most ill-fitting creature ever -- suddenly and without warning decided to disintegrate. Now, I've never had much luck with finding fitting swimwear, not even before pregnancy blessed me with boobs, and I really have no idea where to start now. My 'specs': short upper torso and high-set breasts; fairly small 25" waist; super long waist-to-crotch 'rise'; and wide 42" hips. Bra-wise I currently seem most comfortable in a firm 32DD, knicker-wise I wear size 42/14/L (if I got the conversions right), BiuBiu top-wise I'm a perfect 34B/BB. My 'regular' swimsuit issues: leg openings cutting in painfully, the whole bottom section 'riding up' and 'wedging in' uncomfortably, yards of excess fabric around my waist, low-cut backs gapping like madness, boobs being dragged down to my belly button, and mysteriously way too long shoulder straps.
For now I'm looking for a plain and basic, preferably all black swimsuit, although I may consider something more 'whimsical' if I happen to stumble upon something that fits me comfortably. I have had a quick look around locally, but haven't found ANYTHING at all, so I have to order online. How would you wonderful ladies guess brands like Freya, Panache, and Fantasie work for a figure like mine?

Are you looking for a two-piece or one-piece swimsuit?
Both, actually. I'd prefer a one-piece for 'serious' swimming *cough* and a two piece for more relaxed activities. I'm very interested in tankinis, but somehow I can't imagine those being very suitable for 'real' swimming ... having said that, my only reference is a Fantasie Helsinki in 32D -- absolutely gorgeous, but (obviously?) too small in the cup and very loose around my waist.
