First Boutique visit.
I stopped by a boutique in Lima, OH on my way home from a work trip today. I'm glad I made it a stop on my way home and didn't make the hour drive there as a special trip. I thought that they would have exceptional fitters based on reading their website and Facebook page. I go in and am asked if I've been in before or need help with anything. I said I was hoping to get fitted. She asks what size now, I mention 30E/F and 32DD/E and occasionally other sizes depending on the brand. She asks what style of bra I like and I say plunge and moulded cup, but am open. She grabs me a a couple bras to get started I think she brought me 32E and leaves to let me try on the first bra. It's a Fantasie (not sure of the model but it's a tshirt bra of some sort), this was a horrible fit for me, I can't remember for sure now if it was too big and the cups were to tall or if the cups were just too tall. She checks the fit, and doesn't really have a lot to say otIher than it wasn't a good fit and it was too big. I mentioned the cups seemed tall too. She brings back some other bras in varying sizes including some Freyas in 30D which are on clearance, I was wondering what she was thinking with that, but considering she had yet to see me in a bra that came even close to fitting she probably assumed I had no clue what size I was.
The clearance Freyas are $19.99 so I figure I'll give them a try anyhow. As I suspected they don't fit. I have her come back and she is mostly focused on the cups needing to come up higher, when the major concern was how much boob was showing out of the side of the cup near my armpit. She goes back out to look for other sizes and comes back with a different Freya in a 30E. I try it on and it's not bad the cups are quite stiff though. I notice the price is over $80 though. I finish up trying on a couple of the other bras she had brought back. There was another Fantasie which it seemed to fit okay but for some reason the cup kept getting random wrinkles despite being well filled and it was very plain, and also over priced. I can't remember what the other bra was, but it was unlined and a full coverage style, I could tell by looking at it it wouldn't work. I still try it and I think I could have fit both boobs in one cup.
I bring out the bras and she asks if anything worked. I said the one Freya did, but the cups were just too stiff (no way I was spending that much on a bra). I mention I loved the other 2 Freyas that were on clearance, and wished they had fit, she says she can't order those any more. Still she pulls out the Freya book to show me other styles and asks if I want to order anything. I tell her I will hold off and might stop by again when I'm in the area.
Don't get me wrong the sales lady was helpful, but I don't know that she really had any idea what she was doing. She just brought sizes and said to try it because you never really know. I also never had a chance to browse the racks on my own. I might still stop by if I'm in the area though to check the clearance, but I won't be asking for fitting help.

I found the ritzier shop in my town less helpful than the smaller shop - except that the smaller shop had nothing in my size at all (32J)
