People are making their own bras!
Some people's breasts come in a size that isn't made, or have a shape that no current bra company caters to. Or, they may have skin sensitivity issues and need a bra that comes in a specific fabric. Either way, people are making their own bras and I fully support it! This awesome lady who couldn't find maternity bras in 34G that were aesthetically pleasing to her decided to make her own maternity bra!

Yes they certainly do! I've made half a dozen myself, but unfortunately have never been 100% successful with the results. My first two were nursing bras for the exact reason you stated above. In light of my ongoing difficulty finding bras, especially recently, I may go back to it. I just started the Craftsy class, which one can access for the entire month of October for $14.99.
