Latest Bra Haul!
I had today off, so after running some errands, I decided to see what sort of clearance offerings Nordstrom Rack had. I'm glad I did! I scored a Freya Piper Longline in 30G, for $31. I also got my hands on a bra that I've been looking for online, the Cleo Karen for $22. I've been having this irrational need for it because omg stars. They didn't have the Karen in a 30G so I tried it in 32F, thinking that would work, but nut-uh lol nope. I grabbed the lone 32FF, and that was much better with more room in the cups. And even though I had to use the tightest hooks, I bargained with myself and decided I just HAD to have it anyway, because STARS, you guys! Also it's just a really comfortable bra!
Then, when I got home, I had a package waiting for my on my doorstep. It was from Bare Necessities! Only... the box looked like it had been trampled on and then taped haphazardly back together. On closer inspection, it was stamped RECEIVED DAMAGED. The box also looked like it had been cut open, and then whoever taped the one side back together did a shittastic job. Just, wow. But what were the goodies inside? And were they all in one piece? At least each bra and panty comes individually wrapped in bags, so they were somewhat protected. Inside were my: Cleo Zia Balconnet with matching underwear, Curvy Kate Tease Me [showgirl Collection], and Parfait By Affinitas Leslie Contour Bra
So part of this afternoon was spent trying on all the bras and measuring them, and taking photos, so I can enter them into Bratabase. Interestingly enough, they are all somewhat similar in measurements, even though they are different sizes. The Zia (30FF) and the Leslie (30G) both have the tiniest bands at 24 inches. The Leslie also has the shallowest cups at 9.4 inches, beating out the CK Tease Me (30G). The Zia has the deepest cups, measuring at 10.5 inches - so my gamble at ordering it in 30FF paid off. The CK Tease Me ended up with the longest wires at 12 inches.
Finally, I'd just like to say that CK's Showgirls line does some weird things to my rack ...l o l
