Ouch!

I've reached the level of obesity where my back fat causes my bands to roll up. I've also got a mild latex allergy/sensitivity, which is mostly triggered by pressure, friction and length of exposure. The combination has made my bra band give me nasty rashes lately. I'm wearing a Cami under my bras ATM, but I'm still getting red marks from the rolled up elastic pinching. Very bad body image day.

  • aww, I'm sorry you are having a bad day! Are you sure your bands arent too tight? Idk where you are financially right now, but I almost wonder if you want to take a look at Decent Exposures ? I wore them for years and they can customize with latex-free elastic and all their bands are covered anyways, with cotton or cotton blend. its non-wired non-structured but sized and customizable and really comfy. Sometimes comfy needs to come first. Be nice to your body!!

I follow the Militant Baker on fb - she recently had her book published, Things No one will tell Fat Girls - she posts so much great body-love stuff on her page - I'm not that big, but I LOVE reading her posts because its just so positive and accepting

  • I wonder if you've tried Ewa Michalak bras? (everyone on the site recommends them, I know. :P) But they don't have the tight elastic on the sides of the band like Panache has. They might work really well for you.

Body image setbacks happen, just be kind to yourself, distract from bad thoughts if you need to. Tomorrow put on your favorite outfit and i hope youll feel a little better ^^
