Was told I wear a 38G. Had been wearing a 40DD from VS and the band was too loose and cup to small. I bought a Soma minimizer in a 38G last week. It feels really good but the cup seems a bit small. I ordered a Wacoal in a 38G and hope that works. My measurements are 38 band, 45 in bust standing, 48 bend over. I am 65 years old and want a bra that looks good, feels good and hold my boobs up. I have been wearing the wrong size so long. VS did tell me after I told them that the 40DD bras I have been buying are not the right size that I should wear a 38F. They told me that they don't have a 38F but I could wear a 40DDD. Don't think so.

  • I went to a fancy boutique and came home in a 34GG molded cup bra. But then I found this place and started having questions. I posted a fit request and eventually realized I'm actually a 32J. Or was, now I"m a 34J or so, at least half the time - I'm 50 and heading in to the change and gaining weight and hormonal craziness, my boobs keep growing!

Good luck with your next bra

  • Welcome! You are in the same place I was not too long ago and this site has been an incredible resource. Ask for fitting advice when that wacoal comes in. There are some wonderfully helpful experts here that can give helpful pointers. The other thing I found super helpful, after doing my measurements, was researching the measurements of bras I wanted to try on. while all the measurements are important for getting a good fit, the cup depth is the one I have been using as my primary parameter. Good luck!
