finally fitting bras

I have fought with bras for 25 years through all stages of my life, from the 32DDDs when I was thin, to the 38Js (38GG uk) now. never owned a good fitting bra. Before the internet I pretty much just had to wear the wrong size, after the internet I could at least find my size, but underwire was always wrong and painful, so could pretty much only wear underwire free. I have had the same stretched out too small bras for over 5 years and decided I need to fix that and a women of my age really should have underwire figured out by now. I found my size, and started buying and well returning. Goddess, Panache, Elomi, Fantasie, all the underwire just went too far back, but smaller cups caused overflow up top or below etc etc. Tried "fit experts" but the just recommended smaller or larger cups or more expensive Elomi bras..and they were fit fails too. Then I found here and comments about a Freya for narrower and shorter underwire. I bought 3, they shipped 2 in the correct size, and both in the correct size feel great, like without bending, out of the package. OMG a non painful underwire bra, and 2 no less.

This changes so many things. I don't have to wear tanks under many of me shirts now because I don't have near as much cleavage showing, crumbs aren't finding their way into my bra, and "the biggie" seatbelts. I have always hated shoulder straps because they slide to under my arm and choke me. Constantly having to move the shoulder strap, didn't even notice I do it all the time. Turns out it wasn't the seat belts fault, it was my bra's fault. Took me a week to notice, but wow, if a bra actually separates, seatbelt isn't across my neck. wow.

The only other thing I could ask for is maybe a higher cup option, like a higher gore, so there was a bit more material up top center. Maybe someday I will figure that out.
