Didn't fit

This is the bra that moved me to ask about a thread where i could review a bra besides on the website review page. Yes, that means it doesn't feel comfortabtle, but I will get to that.

Rosme was a new brand available on brastop and i liked the look of this bra, so I ordered one even though there were no reviews. i had to return and exchange because 36F wasn't the right cup size for me after all, and re-ordered in size 36DD.

when I first put this bra on, I thought all was well, and I pulled off the tags and got dressed. after about 30 minutes I realized that this was a huge mistake and I'd purchased my first bra regret.

The problem is the shoulder straps. I did notice that they were half-inch straps rather than the 6/8" straps my other bras had, but I thought it was okay because the bottom portion of the cup was so supportive. and about that, I was right.

the real problem was that they're too widely set by at least half an inch on each strap. they dig into the little pocket of fat just at the front of my underarms, and the straps *twist* so they cut in sideways. it's terribly uncomfortable after 20 minutes of wear, and this experience has basically changed how I will review bras for fit once they arrive in the mail. because i tried something to make it not so bad, and discovered the other strap problem with this bra.

I figured that since the bottom cups have good support, I could loosen the straps so the digging wouldn't be so bad. but there's not enough length in the straps to actually do that. I can't get comfortable in this bra, and I can't return it now that it's worn. alas!

  • Based on all of the help I've received from Bravissimos fitting techs, your band size is definitely too small on this bra and you would need to go down. Tell tale signs of a too big band: riding up in the back and not laying flat against the sternum. I have found their advice to be sound. Like you, I take issue with slim straps as they always cut into me regardless of the manufacturer. I recently purchased a Rosme bra from Ebay and I'm REALLY hoping I don;t have fitting issues with it. You may want to have a look- nice wide straps and I will be doing a review on it once it gets here! :)

  • Sorry- I meant band size is too big. . .

  • Sorry- poor planning on my part for comments, lol, here's the bra I ordered: http://www.ebay.com/itm/280990035133?var=580143990576&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
