Didn't fit

Aside from the ADORABLE print, this bra is ugly as sin. I want to love it so I'm going to keep it and see what I can do with it. There are a bunch of these on eBay for cheap right now so I figured something had to be wrong with them.

I think what really does it in is the giant bow on the gore. I mean, really? A giant, floppy, saggy bow? I think I might replace it with a little pom-pom or something.

Also, the lace flips out by the gore, and the seams are lumpy.

The band runs a little loose/stretchy. Other than that, the bra is comfortable and soft, and runs true to size.

I'm planning a gore decoration transplant, a foam-ectomy, and a severe band shortening for this bra.

This bra is not owned any more

Well... it looks like a decent fit at least? You crack me up. Let us know how the frankenbra turns out.

Actually you drew my attention to this bra, so I ordered it in 32DD. So funny, but that bow doesn't bother me one bit. I dont't get the band wrinkling though - any particular purpose of that? Also thinking about altering the band and probably getting rid of the wrinkling. The cups fit great and I love the silky touch. The price was really good for a silk bra.

Bwaaaahahaha. I know, I know. We're all on here because we generally like bras and are trying to find a pretty one that fits. And yes, we all have different taste in pattern/color/decor.

But really, I have such a hard time being objective about a bra that I find unappealing or just down right ugly.

I have to agree about the bow. Floppy and last-minute looking detail that doesn't do a thing for the bra.

lcl0706 I think the frankenbra is turning out quite well! It's taking forever but I think it will be nice when it's done so I'll probably add it back on Bratabase as my own brand or something.

erispe The band is ruched in the back because there is plain elastic encased in the silk fabric. The silk has no stretch so the ruching allows the elastic to stretch. That is where I'm taking the band in anyway so the amount of ruching will be reduced. It would be possible to get rid of the ruching entirely by removing the excess fabric and making a straight covering over the elastic but you might make the band way too firm or put too much strain on the delicate silk.

runs_with_scissors I get it now, thx. I will start wearing it as it is now and will see how it stretches. For some reason I prefer not so tight bands lately.
Oh, and I am not very skilled with the scissors, or maybe just afraid to venture into the world of alterations.
ColorFan I know what you mean. I just read a review about the Kris Line Kama Brassiere where the reviewer sees the bra purple and cheap looking, while I see it as blue and of fine quality.
