Didn't fit

I've had this bra for a couple of months now and have just worn it. It's been in my drawer while I waited for, tried on, then sold a M Syrena in a 65F. I decided to keep the S cut. Both cuts are not ideal for me for different reasons. I decided S Syrena's specific imperfections were more comfortable for me and so she stays.

S Syrena is a padded balconette from 2015. Its name translates to "Siren" and it is a mermaid bra for sure. The cups are a shimmery emerald green covered in navy eyelash lace (the exact same lace as 65G - Comexim » Victoria Plunge (CUSTOM) actually. I also want to note that EM M Magique, Comexim Beauty, Comexim Sonia, and Comexim Rita are all the same lace in different colors). The bra band and straps are navy blue elastic and the seams are covered with shiny ribbon. Green on the horizontal, navy on the vertical. The green ribbon also trims out the wings and the front of the straps. The elastic on the interior of Syrena is green on the bottom. The bra is finished off with bright fuchsia bows. A big one at the gore, little ones at the straps.

The band on this is true to average for my Ewas. It is soft and comfortable. The band is wide and distributes tension well. I am on the loosest set of four eyes.
The straps are fully adjustable. It takes a little bit of force to get the sliders over the seam of the ribbon, but they will pop over it. They are comfortable. Not too thin, not too stretchy, and not too wide set. The sliders stay in place and don't slip down with wear.
The wires are narrow and not pokey.
The cups themselves are where my issue with the S lies. In my size, they are not projected enough at the wire. Apex projection is awesome, but I don't need it there, I need it below. Because my roots are also short I cannot meet the top of the cup where all the room is. I need to use pads, which makes the wire space even shallower and not able to stay in my IMF. The wires don't get shoved down far enough to hurt during the day. They will hurt if I'm sitting too much, especially if my posture is poor, they will dig into my ribs. Ordinarily this is not something that I tolerate. With 50 bras in my house, there is no reason for me to. But, Syrena is gorgeous and almost made for me in her color scheme (also not possible to have made in my beloved CHP, which would solve all my problems). There are just some bras that are worth the compromise, to me Syrena is one of them.

The underwear, both the brief and the thong, I purchased in a 38. Because my last order ran so small I wanted to be cautious in my pick for sizes. I can fix too big, but I cannot fix too small. Luckily these are spot on. They are comfortable and don't pinch anywhere. They don't ride up or slide around. They're a moderate rise and the briefs are full coverage. The green panels in the front of both are a single layer of sheer fabric and they are both finished off with huge bows in the back.

This bra is not owned any more

  • I had these same problems with the 65G. Wild Muses suggested the S Collette because it seems significantly more immediately projected and is more closed on top. Hoping!

  • Yep, S is not a good cut for me. I knew that when I ordered, but it's so pretty!
Colette is gorgeous! I have it in a CHP and it's a favorite.

  • I may wish I had requested the CHP Colette. Hoping for an unusually projected S. ;-)

  • I'll hope for you too!
