Didn't fit

I was so excited to finally get this 'dream bra'! It matches my expectations in a number of ways. It's purple, a deep blue-toned purple, like darkest lilacs. It's satiny-silky; almost iridescent. Subtle but intriguing round lace trim with blue highlights are the Peacock's Eye of the name. The outer fabric is oddly generous, there is quite a bit of wrinkling in it which smooths down under clothing. It's a CHP, my best shape for lift and immediate projection. The band is not too tight - in fact, the bra is used enough that the band, for a 70, stretches so much I'm on the 3rd set of hooks immediately (may have to take in the band) but right now is comfy & still supportive. Where it missed on 'perfect dream' is that the straps are way too wide-set even for my broad shoulders. And it is too large in the cups, lots of extra room in the top. My best EM's are F/FF so I guess my lack of top fullness has been offset by the smaller size compressing and lifting my breasts! I pretty much fixed the strap and extra room at the top problems with a single simple alteration: the 'fold & sew' strap adjustment that I read about here. What a difference - I can now say it fits with a good scoop & swoop! (It has cookie pockets but came to me without cookies; adding them helps). Moving the straps in about an inch pulled the top of the cup tauter, got the straps out of my armpits, and does not seem to have any ill effect on the fit or shape.
