My shape: mid-height center-set teardrop with max projection underneath, very shallow super tall roots, very wide roots, all over fullness, and firm tissue that doesn't like to be pushed around.

Oh, this bra is so cute and such a great color, and I had such high hopes for it after all the fit issues with the 65G - Passionata » Let's Play Balconette Bra (5215) . It is sheer and thus slightly scratchy, but it might soften with the first wash. I think it would be a great light summer bra, which is the main reason I wanted it to work. It has its own set of little problems, though, and I just can't reconcile ALL of them to keep it.

First of all, the straps are too far apart. This really isn't a big deal, though, since they aren't cutting into my armpits, and it also doesn't make the top of the cups flex noticeably when I slouch. They are thin, but fully adjustable. They sit quite far out on my shoulders, so the neckline is super-duper open, which I like since my breasts are pretty self-supporting and don't really ever try to escape or bounce out of low tops, but others might not want.

The gore is too wide, or the cups are too far apart. I can't really tell the difference between these two in any bra because the effect is basically the same for me. I CAN tell it is definitely too tall. Luckily, there is almost 3/4" of space in the wire channel, and since I don't ever notice wires poking in my armpits, this is great! If I kept the bra, I would put in a couple of stitches to seal the wire channel at the gore and make it permanent. This shift does make the top of the gore float, but since it no longer has any structure to it and the wires still tack farther down, it doesn't bother me at all.

Let's talk about these wires. I guess that in this case the cups really are too far apart for me because the apex of the wire's curve is farther out past my breast's apex, leaving the wires extending beyond my IMF on the outer curve and contributing to the space left in the bottom of the cup. The edges come all the way to the top of the wing after I shifted them out of the gore, which is actually nice for me because I like tall wings and too-tall wires never poke me there. They are also too narrow, but I actually only noticed while wearing it (instead of after, while looking at the photos) because it makes the top edge of the wing gape and stand away. I have had this issue with some Freya half-cups, and in those cases can sometimes solve it by cross-hooking the band (that is, the top hook in one column and the lower hook in the next-tightest column, which occasionally works because I have a conical ribcage), but I had this on the tightest set of hooks, so I can't really do that.

Lastly, the cups are pretty shallow. This means that the top edge is great on me! I had a [long] phone call in the middle of my try-on, so while lounging on my bed it never gaped, even when I laid sideways. However, where the base of the cup meets the wire I think I need Maximum Projection, so this one shifts downward a bit trying to move my fullness to a bigger part of the cup. I don't think it would be as much of a shift if not for the weird wire curve exaggerating it. Anyway, it has vertical seams and those are always somewhere between good and great on me, so in this case it could have worked.

The band is lined in powernet and is quite stretchy, too, which I dislike. The elastic edges feel comfy, or even a little tight, but because the powernet has a different tension and stretch than the lace outer fabric or the elastic, I still get the bulge. This happens with basically every powernet band I've ever tried, and I don't like any of them.

  What a lovely bra, and in exactly the style I am hunting for at present! The only problem is, I can't seem to find it on sale on-line anywhere. Could you tell me where you bought yours from please? I'm in the UK, so that might be why I'm having trouble tracking it down!

  Yeah single seamed half cups are usually crappy when it comes to immediate projection! You can probably safely avoid all single seamed half cups.
