Didn't fit

This was edited upon a second try-on and measuring session. This is a brand-new release from Curvy Kate.

Me: Very short, narrow, roots. High set, round, pendulous uber- projected, full in center, full on top to even.

I would describe this shape as a true demi plunge in this size. When I first put it on I thought Holy Shit are those MINE?!?! Because I look so hot, I have center and cakes cleavage. To the point where I'm pretty sure it's too small (or too short for my short roots?!?!?) even though it's in my usual Curvy Kate size.

Fit: Basically the same as my 38J - Curvy Kate » Cabaret Plunge Bra (CK5111), very similar measurements, but with shorter cups (like an inch shorter!). The wires are softer than the Cabaret. There is in-cup quadding and slight quadding on my large side. The band was about the same size as my 38J Cabaret so I used an extender, but it immediately stretched to 40 inches when I tried it on, which with the extender felt less secure. The second time I wore it I did not use the extender and adjusted the straps up a bit, which provided a much more secure fit, but this is when I experienced a tiny bit of quadding on my large side. The straps adjust fine for me but there is embellishment on the front like on the regular Princess. Because my tissue is brought to the center and the wires are softer I push the gore out so there's not the stabilizing gore tack of the Cabaret which has Panache-style firm wires. The cups begin at my breast tissue, so there's no gapping at the strap. The shape is super round, like if Cleo Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831) was a plunge for people with incredibly short roots.

Comfort: The fabric is soft, no scratchy mesh here. The straps are also soft but a bit stretchy. I have a big problem with Cabaret and 36JJ - Curvy Kate » Bardot Balcony Bra (SG3101) because of the itchy mesh and embroidery. I have no such issues with either the dotted fabric or the soft lace and ribbon top embellishment. This bra is a delight.

Style: The ribbon pulls out a bit on the top so there are loops when I look down. I'm not too bothered by it. I like the Princess so much better in black. I don't really care about the ribbons and bows and everything because I can't see it as much in black. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":P" />

An amazing plunge for very short narrow-to-average roots. I will be ordering it in a cup size larger and seeing how that works for me.

Ok, after comparing my 38J - Curvy Kate » Cabaret Plunge Bra (CK5111) and the Princess Plunge by laying one over the top of the other, I have come to the conclusion that they are almost exactly the same but the Princess has lower cups, bendier wires, and further in straps. Same narrow wires (could the wires have gotten stretched out in transit?) but because the cups are shorter I feel like I'm gonna spill out and I quad slightly. But wearing the band without an extender makes it feel much more secure. I have updated the measurements and will update the review later today.

What was wrong with me yesterday that I couldn't measure properly? Must have been the heat.

I will be ordering the 40J on Friday so we shall see how that goes.
