Band is TIGHT. Provides firm support, but can get uncomfortable with hours of wear. Needs to be broken in.

This sports bra is legit. The band does NOT stretch. I waver between a 30-32, depending on stretch level. Very, very glad I ordered a 32, and could probably make a 34 work as well. The support is fantastic. the shape is very classic Freya, a bit wide and a little flattened, but overall fairly flattering. It covers significantly more than a bikini top and could easily be worn as a "crop top" for those that don't want to wear a shirt. Hooks in the back with 4 rows and 4 columns of hooks. The wires are wide but not cumbersome. I have no issues with the tall gore (usually bras with a tall gore get stabby) or tall sides. The J-hook in the back is MOVEABLE so you can slide it up and down the strap in the back- very convenient, and less likely to snag on long hair (looking at you, Panache sport). The shape is a bit wide, however, so if you're doing an activity that requires arm motions across the body (golf swing, kickboxing) you may want to look into anti-chafing options. Definitely not a great low impact or yoga bra, but if you're doing a lot of movement, this is a great option.
I have a flared rib-cage, so sometimes the elastic bit at the bottom rolls up. I don't notice this most of the time, but it does make the band seem tighter in a more concentrated area.
Moisture wicking is pretty good so far. Went for a 3 mile hike in extremely humid conditions. Kept me as dry (as possible) and dried quickly post-hike for a long drive home.
Compared to the Panache sports bra, the Freya bra has less room in the top of the molded cup, which, for me, works perfectly. Panache bras don't fit me well (I've tried many, MANY options), and Freya has almost always come through for me. They came through again with this sports bra. If you tend to get a good fit out of Freya bras, I'd highly recommend this sports bra. Order in your true Freya size, or sister size up if you need a looser band.Black with purple colorway
