This bra is really comfortable, and just what I was hoping for. My previous attempt at expanding my bra-drobe was picking up a
32J - Cleo » Skye Balconnet Bra (9121), which unfortunately didn't work. Hoping for better results, I searched for a Kayla, and I was super excited to find one available in my normal size, 34HH.
As a big fan of the Marcie, I was excited by the new styles based off of the same cut. As a FOB, short-rooted, pendulous girl with soft tissue, it's hard to find bras that work, but I'm so pleased that Kayla fits everything I was looking for.
The cups are nice and supportive; the laminated fabric used on the bottom of the cups is sturdy comfortable, but the real winner for me is the stretch lace at the top of the cup. The lace is much more elastic than that lining the top of Marcie's cups, more like the lace on Panache Jasmine, which works and gives me support on the top of the cup instead of cutting in along the top of my breasts. This also means it rests flat against my smaller side, instead of giving that faint ruffle/wave from the loose lace atop Marcie on the same side.
Kayla has more than enough depth for me, which is a big help. The projection at the wire on the cup is just right for me, which is hard to find sometimes! The depth of the cup, combined with the elastic lace at the top, helps the bra match my breast shape without forcing all my tissue up (like too-shallow bras will). It's definitely a nice find, and I already like the fit more than my Marcie, for one reason: the underwire. With the Marcie, I experience poking under my arm from the end of the wire where it comes up too high; with the Kayla, the wire feels shorter and more comfortable.
I saw that others mentioned that the band of Kayla felt loose, but I didn't experience that myself. The band feels true-to-size for a 34 band, if that helps anyone else. The purple-and-blue pastel plaid of the Kayla immediately caught my eye; normally, I prefer solid colors, but this was just so pretty!
Overall, the Kayla was a success for this Marcie-dependent girl, and I'm glad I finally got my hands on this model.
