Didn't fit

edit after 1 month: added an interior lining through the lower lace so now the band supports properly and I do indeed fill out both cups at my larger time of the month, but the cups are so shallow on the bottom that during the day they gradually push downward until the underwire is an inch below my IMF and the straps begin digging painfully into my armpits. This is definitely a show bra, not a wear all day bra.

I got this bra for my bigger days, so I'll amend this when I hit those. In the meantime, the design is gorgeous and the fit is surprisingly good for my smaller days too, but there is definitely room to grow. There is a little gaping with my smaller right breast right now, but none on the left. There's also padding built in to the molded cups, which I don't love but I can deal with.
My measurements ignore the 1.5" wide lace border on the bottom as it is too soft and stretchy to take part in the fit. There are also three rows of four hooks on the back, making it feel a bit like a pseudo long-line, but there's no power net or other form of support in the main body of the wings (just a single thin layer of stretch satin), so all those hooks don't feel like they're providing any additional support and that's a shame. Also surprising for a 30 band with such flimsy wings, it only stretches to 29".
My main problem is that the wires are a little too U shaped for me, which appears to be the reason I have had my very first experience of wires digging into my sternum with this. My is that painful. The issue can be temporarily resolved by pushing them through the casing to the top of the outer edge because there is a half inch of wiggle room to shift the wires, but other than stitching them into place in that position I will also try to bend the wires out in the center to relieve that pressure.

Wires can also dig painfully when there is extra cup volume that isn't being filled. The breasts don't push back outwards against the whole front of the bra, allowing the normal tension from the band to cause the wires to press uncomfortably against your sternum. I would save this for when you are having an uptick in breast volume or else put in a small cookie or pad to help get the right volume to keep it comfy on you.

  • This bra looks so pretty from the front! I'm not really any good at this, but trying to learn. Are you filling the bottom of the cups? Normally I'm in the more hooks the better camp, but these hooks almost look like they don't belong in this bra. Regardless, it is a beautiful look, I love the way the seams radiate on the cups.

  • Because the style of the padding has the push start from a half inch up from the very shallow base of the bra, my tissue that doesn't get pushed upward gets flattened out below that point. Between that and the very firm mold, it is nearly impossible to tell what is and isn't present.
Sc2401 I am strongly considering adding some tougher material to the wings that continues under the lace so that the hooks will actually have a consistent tension top to bottom, because that front is just too pretty to give up on.
wendybien it's plausible, but I've tried on a lot of bras both too big and too small for me and never had this immediate sensation, and I found the wires weren't stretching at all despite the tension on the crappy band, so it didn't seem like they were being pulled. Since the only pain was from the very top inner edge of the wires and my breasts are so close-set that a 1" wide gore sits the wires right on my breasts, pushing them down and bending them out slightly seems to have worked for that problem.
