I really love how the band is made; an inner layer of soft stretch microfiber, a middle layer of some sort of ultra thin stretch padding, and stretch satin on the outside. There is no elastic on the edges, but the layers are bonded together in a nice flat finish. But the band definitely seems short, even on the longest hook. It would most likely stretch with wear (they always do), but it caused excessive 'muffin top' under the arms and around the back. The hooks are 3 x 3, which are awesome! The straps have a soft flocking on the underside, and the front edge is connected to the cup with a smooth finished seam (not attached by simply stitching the strap on top of the cup). The gore is fabulously low, especially for close set breasts.
The cups however...are padded with graduated thickness, from about 3/4" at its' thickest (on the lower/outer quadrant), tapered to a smooth edge at the top of the cup that was neither too closed or too open. The width of the underwire is quite wide, & wrapped around under the arms OK, but tried to squish everything in with nowhere to go. I think the padding is intended to push 'up and in', but on me it flattened everything out and spread everything east/west with quadding everywhere. Sure seems designed for shallow & wide rather than narrow & projected.
