This is a one-piece with bra-sized cups (yes, there are two separate cups under there - it's not just a shelf!) The underwire is plastic (no rust) and there is also a plastic bikini-style clasp in the back.
This is discontinued so I got it at a discount. The retailer only had 30H, but the reviews said to size up in the cups (and I'm usually 30G/GG) so I figured it had a strong possibility of fitting.
I think I possibly could have gone with my normal size. The cups *are* too big. They are both too wide and too tall; the too-tall is the bigger problem, as it keeps the wire under my IMF. If I pull it up into the my IMF, the ends poke into my sternum and armpits. (And since they're plastic, they can't be bent.) But if I don't pull it up, it actually falls into kind of a nice place where it feels comfortable on all fronts, and the tight spandex material still gives me a lot of support even though the wire is too low. There's no quadding, possibly because the front runs high enough to cover the fullest part of my bosom.
The rest of the suit fits well through the body. I guess they figure a 30 ribcage basically means a S/M overall (and/or it's stretchy enough to kind of work either way). Bear in mind I'm short-waisted, so it may run short, I can't tell. I find one-pieces less sexy but more functional than bikinis (especially since I don't like water touching my tummy.) This is a good suit for swimming at the lake with the family.
