Oh, what an odd duck this one is!!! First of all I have to say the concept of a multi-combination bra is intriguing. To have a bralette, strapless, and regular bra all-in-one is a fantastic idea.
A brief summary:
The strapless: Shallow & wide plunge cups, silicone on the tall band, three hooks. Beige, lightly padded closed cups. Very little stretch in the single-layer mesh band (an extender was required to get it on.) The white straps are shared between the bralette and strapless. Provides a nice rounded profile, a minimized appearance rather than projected.
The bralette: White stretch lace triangle-shaped plunge cups with darts from the wire, and seams from the dart to the outer edge (front of armpit). The front straps attach close to the shoulders. When the bralette is combined with the strapless, the back band hooks onto the strapless at the seam line of the strapless' hooks. When wearing the bralette alone, it attaches the single/gated hook with an adjustable extender, included with the bra.
Now the nitty gritty: Design execution needs the bugs worked out.
#1: In order to attach the two bras together, there are small (1cm) magnets at the gore and under the arms at the top of the wires. They are bulky and useless!!! If they wanted to use magnets, they should have used rare earth magnets...so much stronger and smaller.
#2: It's not clear where to hook the back straps when wearing both bras together. They could fit on either bra. (The photo on Amazon showed the bralette/strapless combo incorrectly hooked.)
#3: The straps are extremely difficult to adjust. The straps are too wide for the size of the slide buckle.
#4: All loops (on both bras) where the straps attach are too large and the straps slip out easily.
#5: The under wires are very bulky when wearing the combination together. The bralette (whose wires are slightly narrower the strapless) sits on top of the strapless. Ideally, I think the layers are intended to nestle together, but...they don't.
Le Mystere, I hope you're reading this!
For me personally - #1: The band is too short. #2: The cups are much too wide. Shallow too. #3: The cups of both bras cut into my underarms.
