Didn't fit
Will update the review once I've had a chance to wear it for a day or two.
The Prima Donna is a nice bra. It's soft, lacy, sexy, and comfortable (at least during the fitting). The straps are thick and sturdy, but made of a soft, foamed elastic with pretty ribbon detailing on the front. The mesh has a striped pattern with polka dots in the middle and lace at the top of the cup.
I tried this on at the boutique after being incorrectly sized as a 40G UK size a couple days ago. The saleswoman brought out a tray of 38H's to try on and I picked this one and a couple others, not realizing which brand they were. Prima Donna is a pricy brand compared to the Elomi, Panache, and Fantasie bras I typically buy. The bra is very pretty though.
It's my closest fitting bra after trying on over 20 bras this week, trying to narrow down my size. I ended up going back to the boutique today and we realized that I'm currently between a 38H and a 38HH UK size and this bra fits within that size range. The band is snug, yet soft. I think this bra is great for those who need a little extra padding on the straps and a soft band so that they rest comfortably and don't dig in. The straps are a little wide for my taste, but I like that they are soft and supportive.
The only fit issue I have so far is that the gore doesn't tack, but that is true of most bras for me because I have close-set breasts.
Since this was the best fit I've found this week (after going bra shopping 3 times), I closed my eyes and ignored the price. Once I test it out a few days, I'll know whether it's worth it to invest in any more of these. I love the styles made by Prima Donna - they have some gorgeous bras - but it's hard to spend $100-$150 on one bra, especially if I'm going to size out of it in 6 months. This bra costs as much as 2-3 bras from other brands.
If the price isn't a factor for you, I'd recommend trying it. This is a supportive, pretty, and well-made bra.
Update: After wearing this a couple weeks, I have to say that I love this bra. It's comfortable for all day wear. It's sexy. It fits. The other new bras I have are problematic in different ways, but this one fits. The elastic trim the bottom of the band does roll a tiny bit, but I think that is because it's a thin strip compared to some of my other bras. The bra stays in place, so I'm not worried about it. I need to get another one of these because it's the only bra that fits me correctly right now.
