Fits

There is mainly one annoying feature of this bra that keeps it from being a perfect fit for me: the straps are very wide-set in the front so I get a fair amount of gaping (especially on my smaller side) with anything less than perfect posture. (The straps measure 12" apart while wearing it, whereas I really need 11".) It has other fit issues too, but this one is a pet-peeve of mine.

Construction wise, this seems very comparable to the LeMystere Safari (#9978). In some ways I like this one better and in other ways I like the Safari better. The Wendy is shaped slightly more rounded than the Safari and it manages center fullness better than the Safari, without pulling the girls too close together. Even though the cups 'look' the same and measure virtually the same, I get some buckling in the bottom of the cups on the Safari whereas I don't have that problem with the Wendy. These cups are also softer and not as thick. However, the seams are much more visible on the Wendy than the Safari. The straps on both are similarly wide-set. Likewise for both, the shape of the band, with it's shorter wings, are better suited for a straight torso, without a lot of V shape. Neither one is very good at managing back-fat or fluffy underarm Lats. The Safari's straps are only partially adjustable whereas the Wendy's are fully adjustable; a little less bounce with the Safari. But again, that's personal preference. The gore on both are almost the same height and shape.

I do love the soft fabrics on the Wendy better than the Safari. Molded cups are thin, soft and flexible. Gives wonderful push-up without padding. Gives awesome cleavage! A perfect 7" width between apexes with no flattening in the middle (like the Safari does).

Summary of my point deductions...
#1: I prefer the straps set closer to center, not way out to my armpits.
#2: I prefer the wings to be a little taller. With this bra I get some underarm bulge (not breast tissue) that's less than attractive. It's not back fat but middle aged fluffy Lats from my V shaped torso.
#3: I prefer 3 hooks (like the Safari) rather than 2.
#4: I definitely don't like to see seams. (Given the choice I'd rather see nipples... at least you know they belong there!)

The bottom line why I returned it: Gaping from wide-set straps, low wings and visible seams.
