SF Blueberry 60L
Blueberry is a standard SF style bra, with 3 stiffened lower sections on the cup, one upper stretch lace section, and a wedge area that connects the strap to the cup. It is a dark blue lace with a black liner. I have tried this one prior in the 60KK, which was reviewed separately.
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.
The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 29”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
This measurement is: 12.45”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
This measurement is: 15”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The cup height is 9”, with the wing of 4.875” and gore of 4.25”. The width is 6.25”.
For comparison, the 60KK had 22.5” to 28.75” max band, with 12.25" to 14.25” max cup depth, 9.25” cup height, 4” gore, 4.75” wing, and 6.25” width.
As for fit,
The upper lace does not feel as closed in or tight as with the 60KK version, which is a plus. My nipples are still in the stretch lace area of the cup, though. I thought this issue might be resolved by going to this cup size, but apparently not. The gore sits 2 fingers off my sternum. The cups look good on, but feel very full and a bit constricting, and after a few hours of wear was on the far side of uncomfortable bordering on painfully constricting. The wires feel fine on the outside, but the center seems to be where the issue is currently, and the center wires may be resting on my breast tissue at the base of the wires. Reverse Swoop and Scoop does not resolve this issue. The top lace does not feel over tensed like the 60KK was, there is no flattening occurring nor any quadding, and I can stick my fingers under the lace and tulle easily, so this upper lace is not the issue with this one. I honestly do not know if I will survive an all day wear with this one though….. :-/
Another thing to note is the recent bra trend for Ewa (for my orders at least), which was not as prevalent on prior orders, is the V frame band, which greatly angles down as seen in the bra only photos. As I’m more of a I I shape than a \ / shape, this creates an odd shape at the top of the band in the back. I don’t feel this while on, but it also doesn’t feel as secure for me, since I am already wearing the band on the tightest hook set. This band is the largest/stretchiest of this order at 29”, but I have had plenty of 29” ones from Ewa that felt more secure with a straighter band.
