Didn't fit

This bra was the last bra that I tried on today at my local specialty lingerie shop. It’s also the one that I was skeptical about fitting and feeling that it would be too shallow because of the molded foam cups. It’s also a huge surprise at how hard I have fallen for it.

My current shape tends to be tallish but shallow roots (so somewhat functionally short) that are narrow to average width, soft and malleable tissue that’s pendulous which leans towards being even to fob and center full and close set supported/splayed unsupported.

The cups are a single bit of foam that’s covered with a sort of geometric triangle print with the diagonal of the cups using a floral stretch lace. I’m not sure, but I think that the triangle lace might be stretchy as well as I was able to pull it back to see the foam cup. The lace goes up quite high to the straps and is designed with being seen in mind like a bralette. Adding to that, the colour of the bra that I tried on was an icy pale blue. The bra is extremely lightweight, so the bralette like lace and this particular colour in combination with it being so lightweight make it an ideal summer bra. The diagonal stretch lace helped me with my center full tissue stay a bit contained.

And now for the cons. The single biggest concern is the band. I did not measure this one but the band has 4 columns of hooks and I was comfortable with the second tightest/third ones in. I don’t think that they make it in a 60, though I have not checked the Chantelle equivalent to this bra. At $75, I’m not sure if it’s even worth it to get a half band of use even if I had a rixie clip or had the band altered. Maybe? I dunno. The other odd bit of the fit is the gore. It’s like it’s not a full fledged gore and the fabric is loose. It’s bizarre though not really the worst problem ever.

When I first looked at the bra, I was skeptical at the fit because it looked super shallow in the side profile, but it didn’t feel like it was in the short time I had it on. Perhaps the band and wires would have shifted south with a bit of movement and activity, but I don’t know. I almost feel like the way that the cup foam is constructed is a credit to the appearance of depth at the wire.

The other concern is whether or not the side tissue is contained enough. It felt fine as did the wire width.

All in all, despite the few fit flaws, I do really like it. I’m not sure if I will ever get it, but maybe if it’s on sale.

This bra is not owned any more

I think it looks overall great. I got two of them in beige and black thanks to jlcl119 who bought them on us eBay and shipped them to me :D the bra is definitely light to wear and if you find it on sale go for it!

Oh that's really pretty. It's reminiscent of the Natori feathers bra, but with more depth. Looks good on you.

It looks great. It very reminiscent of the natori feathers as wilderness said. I wish so much I could wear this type of bra. It’s so pretty and looks so comfortable.

  • I’m really surprised at the depth. I almost decided not to try it, but then I was like, why not? It probably won’t fit but it’s experience that I can share. And I got a nice surprise.
