Didn't fit

I bought this online from Nordstrom.com. Nowhere on their product page does it mention the L'Agent by Agent Provocateur's Penelope Underwire Balcony Bra is a pushup. Ye gads, what a pushup!

The color is gorgeous and my ideal nude-for-me. This is an extremely chest baring bra. I tried it on under a Ted Baker evening top that has deep Vs in front and back. I've been searching for a short strapless bra to wear under this top, and failing. Wonderbra, Gossard, Panache...the list of tall cupped strapless bras contains every single one I've tried. Then I tried the Penelope under this top. It's so low in height that it doesn't show! I almost kept this bra for this reason alone, too narrow wires be damned.

I almost kept the Penelope, despite its cups being too small. Besides being the perfect color, accurately rendered online at nordstrom.com and barenecessities.com, the Penelope has a surprisingly firm band for a 32. I usually wear 30 bands. While I can stretch the Penelope to 32," I pull bands much farther than most people do when measuring for Bratabase. Penelope's band feels as firm as most Fauve 30 bands.

Penelope's straps are fully adjustable. With its true-to-size 32" band, the divine color, and the amazingly low coverage cups, this bra may yet end up in my wardrobe, as a band-shortened 34E.
