Didn't fit
I got this on a whim (and because it was cheap). It's actually a very pretty bra. I got it today and wore it for about an hour to test out the fit. I got the 36G size, though I'm probably more of a 34GG (right now) in most UK sizing.
OVERALL this fit me similarly to the way the Freya Tara (4601) in this review (http://bra.pe/RCLy/) did, though the cups are much closer to fitting. It actually mostly fits, but the apex, again, is too high for my boob and the straps are ridiculously too wideset for my body.
BAND: On the stiff side. Didn't wear it long. Have no idea of whether it would stay this stiff. I could wear it on the loosest hooks, but probably would have to tighten up pretty soon as it's one size bigger than I normally wear. The closure was 3-hook and padded - seemed sturdy.
WIRE: Seemed okay. Possibly a little flimsy? It squeaked a bit. Width was okay for me, which makes sense as it's a sister size.
FABRIC: Very pretty soft grey with the check pattern highlighted in a slightly sparkly thread. The lace is nice, too, though has the "brand new" slight scratchiness to it.
CUP: Volume-wise is close to fitting, other than the too-tall-for-my-boob problem. The apex is to high for me. It's actually not that flappy on top, but the bottom is also folding under the boob unless I pull the cup snug, upward. When I do that, the wire does not sit properly because the cup is fighting my boobs' desire to push outward.
GORE: Too high for me. I know the measurement is only 3.5", but the middle bottom curves up so much that starts at about an inch to an inch-and-a-half above the underbust/wire/band line. It also digs in, partly because my boob is pushing the wire at the bottom out, and partly because of the way the wire is shaped.
WINGS: Seem fine, but I have to keep adjusting because of everything else pulling things out of alignment.
STRAPS: This was the kicker. WAY too wideset for me. See... the whole strapgate BS about "oh you need to wear smaller cup and bigger band" is a lie. If I go up a band and down a cup, the straps are even further apart on me. Right now, the 34GG I am wearing has WAY better strap placement. A 34HH has less annoyingly wide-set straps, even though the cup depth is too big.
In conclusion: In the past, I might have kept this bra to alter, but I've hit the point where if I buy a NEW bra, it needs to be as close to fitting as I can get; I'm not going to alter anything I get that is brand new. I have already listed it.
p.s., Sorry for the TON of pictures, but I figured, this model and brand don't have many pics, so why not take a bunch. It really is quite a pretty bra. I'm going to try out a 34G after I lose a few pounds.
